Washing line

Last year in France, we saw quite a few folding washing lines/hangers like this.

Does anybody have any they can recommend? Do they take up much room folded up?

Depends how much washing you intend to do.

We have a small retractable washing line that can be secured between two points - a tree, an awning pole, door handle etc - and stop strong pegs.

Takes up a tiny amount of space when not in use, but very useful on slightly longer adventures.

Camping Washing Line

Does everyone use lines like Tallulah or does anyone use an airer for wet towels etc.? I am thinking ahead for when we are away for a week with wet towels beach towels wet suits etc

We use the rail on the pop top to hang towels, but we have never used a washing line

We use our Fiamma bike rack, although I appreciate it's not what it's designed for.

We dont have a pop top rail or a bike rack....so keep the creative ideas coming! I love the multi use ideas.....just watched Tiny house nation on Channel 4 ...it made me laugh as they had to do the early morning putting away of the bed before they could do anything else.....yep been there.

Piece of rope, tie up between awning pole or the roof rack and a tree or fence, any length you need and cut a piece of fallen branch for a prop, job done and cheap as chips.

I think the rail on the pop top that Scooby refers to is the one that you pull down on to lower it. You'll have one on each end of yours - a kind of his and hers towel rail.

Washing day. We have a rack which hangs from the window and a sock/undies hanger. The sunshade offers places to hang clothes hangers. We also use the poptop rails for towels, or wind breaks if we have them up. We also carry a ball of string to make a washing line from any convenient trees.

Most importantly, you need sunshine.
