New member recruited by flyer in Woolacombe (based in Notts). Finding the site really useful and have already discover the mystery of the smaller tank. Be interested to hear if any other members have had serious over heating problems that resulted in needing a new head gasket!

Tallulah is an 'aqua bay' - and orange like Denis(e) - but fortunately no overheating issues. Lots of Aircooled buses having problems in stationery traffic in Brighton a few weeks ago, Tallulah's fan did a fine job.

This is actually contrary to what ought to happen. An aircooled engine normally copes extremely well with high temperatures. Hence the reason they were so heralded years back for climbing mountains and trips in extreme conditions. I suspect those that were having problems on the Breeze were down to electrics or carburettor issues.

Welcome to the forum. I to have an orange aqua bay. No overheating problems though. Have you checked your coolant levels and made sure you have no airlocks, the run from the engine to the rad is quite long and can be prone trapped air.

There may well have been other problems, but it was a very hot day with lots of waiting around to get parked. Very little movement meant very little air flow to cool the air cooled.
