Subject: has anyone more power for the engine make? Fri Nov 04, 2011 8:38 am
hello, in the next year 2012 i will make more power for the engine. I think about for more "hubraum" . ( i dont know the word in english, please sorry). perhaps in the same mashine fro, my car. thats not the end for thinking, because i have found a mechanik in germany, they will build a porsche mashine 2,1ltr for 170 hourspower. than i must change the breaks and "Getriebe" . But this is only a thinking. my faforit is the orginal mashine whith more "hubraum". Has anyone do this before me?

I haven't heard of anyone doing an engine rebore on an Aircooled Kombi. However that doesn't mean it's not possible....
I reckon the English equivalent of 'hubraum' you're looking for is 'grunt.'

Hi Tim,
it actually translates to "cylinder capacity" or ccm.
I heard of some rebore projects but nothing turned out to be as reliable as the original setup...
Best
Anton
