| Hi Folks Richard and Elspeth (and the brats x 3) here from near to Dorchester in Dorset. Kids are getting older and time to get out in the world and have some fun! We are folk musicians and therefore get around loads of festivals and gigs - and so are looking for a Braz Bay to complete the family. We have a Beetle Convertible otherwise known as Primrose - and we are looking to give her a big brother. I've been reading through a load of posts and it is amazing how many similarities there are with all of us - we were one of the first Bongo owners in the Uk, then developed onto an Elgrande (Elgar) - which is 10 times more economical - but we are now hankering after a van that we really love - rather than just 4 wheels and an engine - which the imports have always been. I test drove a van at Danbury about a year ago and they aren't the easiest drives are they (!) but it is like any drug eh! - we can't get it out our system and fate will work its ways - and we are bound to end up with a water cooled braz bay. So - finally joined as it is inevitable that we will be t2 owners before the year is out - Elgar wil do for the time being but keeping our eyes peeled for our future T2. What's the best get-together near us for VW van owners where Braz Bay owners will be around??
Cheers - looking forward to meeting you guys in the future Rich + Els

| Yes as Jason suggests, if you don't mind spending a couple of hours in the car, the Volksworld Show would be ideal for you to come along to. That'll be the first get together of members from here, on our stand in the club area. You'll be able to ask any of us loads of questions and have a good look around some 'active' BraziBays, rather than showroom fresh ones. You should of course look at those too! ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Hi from Aldershot,
We bought Eva from SnailTrail - was intending to hire a van from them before deciding to buy but when Eva was wheeled out of the barn with a 'for sale' tag, we capitulated there and then and gave up our hard earned cash.

| Hi Guys Thanks for the welcomes - what a friendly bunch you all are! Stoney - we used to live in Aldershot - had a little 2up2down in Elms Road in the middle of town - loved it. Elspeth grew up in Heath End and I'm originally from Pyrford! Small world! Anyway - I showed the boss (Elspeth) loads of vans (the Orange and Blue ones that are possibly for sale) - I think she seemed okay with both - but I could tell that she was holding back - her ideal would be a diamond in red or green - but as I'm not prepared to buy one direct from Danbury - then beggars can't be choosers! LOL I just want to get our T2 sorted ready for the new Festival season!
Thanks again for your kind welcomes and I think Volkswold sounds like a bloomin' good idea. Cheers Rich

| I don't know what your budget exactly is, but you'd be far better buying a used Kombi that is in decent condition and the spec you need kit-wise. Then if the paintjob doesn't suit - just spend a grand and get the lower half repainted. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |
