| [list][*] Hi guys! I picked this bus up a few months back on a good deal. I've owned T25s in the past so this was somewhat of step into the unknown! I'm currently having a Subaru conversion done (shoot me if you will!) and didn't realise quite how different these buses were! I know that is from Brazil and was registered in the UK in 1990, it has had a lot of work done so once the new engine is done its fairly up to scratch ready for the interior to go in. I was just wondering if there was a general run down somewhere about this particular model and if there are some specialist places in the UK to get hold of weird parts that don't seem to be split, early or late bay! I hope someone can give me a hand! Thanks, Ed | |

| Thanks and I will be! Brakes are already fairly good after I put servo's on. I'm not getting it for the power, more just the reliability and mpg so won't be working the brakes too hard anyway. Steering will come in time but it's all money....

I thought it was only the Split that was known as 'the Fleetline.' Once it became half Bay-half Split it was known as the 1600 or Brasilia. http://www.volksieworld.co.za/fleetline.html ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| What parts are you after Ed? Generally I think you'd be looking at Late Split suspension up front, Late Bay out back, much the same as our Kombis. 1600 gearbox too? ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

The suspension is all sorted, raised it (for my sins) and you are correct. I'm looking at brake and steering upgrades in time but I was hoping that perhaps somewhere there was a full breakdown of what it is actually made up of so that when something goes wrong, I know what part to go looking for!

The Brasilia was a car, a bit like a Type 4 The Fleetline was just what they called them in South Africa, but they were just vans sent from Brazil and finished off over there, I really dont know what they called them in Brazil at the time. In South Africa they went straight from the Splitscreen Fleetline, to the T25 Vanagon, they didnt get the Split-Bay Lovechild it was Brazil and maybe some parts of South America only.
