Mudeford is fab although not much in the way of 'beach'. Open sea to the south and a natural shallow harbour about a mile wide to the north, ideal for fishing, crabbing, kayaking, paddle boarding, boating of any sort etc, with a nature reserve (no people allowed!) in the middle and Christchurch harbour at the far north west with access to the rivers Stour and Avon.
Mudeford Quay / Christchurch Harbour We spent 3+ hours kayaking across, up the first part of the Avon and all the way back again in Sept last year as part of an outdoor adventure weekend planned for Oli's 7th birthday.
That reminds me, still haven't written the blog entry for that yet, another job for the weekend, better late than never!
