| Yes it's had its fair share of mods. Originally bought from Snail Trail and lowered by Slamwerks. New interior by Bromsgrove and even a new engine. Nice Kombi though. | |

| Did the article say why the engine had been replaced? I recognised it as an ex-Snailtrail by the plate. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Not read article but can clearly see it has a narrowed front beam. Also has wider tyres at back than the front. | |

| I'm not sure if I'd agree with the "made better than ever" subtitle. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| The engine was replaced after a 3,500 mile European tour. It 'lierally went bang'. I've just read the article again and to be honest it is highly directed around the issue of quality. It starts by questioning whether or not the quality of anything not made in Germany can be as good.
Later in the article (quote) - 'Lets not ignore the roof. Critics of these foreign creations seldom can. The angular and higher roof section common to the Brazilian Bay is the element the haters most commonly single out for derision. That, and any South American Bus' supposed lack of build quality and longevity. Very lazy journalism in my opinion.
I will bring the magazine to the sleepover auction Scooby but I don't think it'll fetch much!

| Despite all the negativity they still chose it to be on the front cover - what hypocrites!
Glad I don't waste my hard earned on their publications anymore. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| The guy who own's it is from Edinburgh not to far from me and I've never came across it on the road. Nevermind I'm sure our paths will cross some day.
