Mainly for Scooby - but for anyone else interested.
Arrived at noon on Saturday, and just as we did the heavens opened (anyone who attended last year, this will be sounding familiar). For half an hour it poured and the wind howled. Bacon butties and cups of tea were made whilst we waited for the weather to abate. Three quarters of an hour later we ventured from the van as it had stopped raining - walked up to the drag strip to watch them desperately trying to dry the track. Had a wander around the stalls - not half as many as last year ! Went to the stands to see them still trying to dry the track out. sat down and within 5 mins there was a massive hail storm. The track was now covered with ice !! After discussion with my 5 year old the half mile trek back to the van was our choice, another cup of tea and then headed home.
No pics - too bloody cold. Forgot that Santa Pod is quite exposed so it was blowing a gale there !! Have decided that after 4 visits - the last two including today being rubbish, I am not going again unless the forecast is for 20 degrees with no chance of rain.
