| Sunny used to pull a small Eriba caravan without any problems. Your Turtle teardrop will be fine. Enjoy. | |

- Sorted.... thanks HH and Tim....got one on order.managed to buy a teardrop 1200 turtle over the weekend... so hope our Ronnie's up to pulling it.
we are towing a quad bike on a trailer weighs in at about 550kg - copes quite well but you have to watch out on braking and it feels a little bit lurchy to start with (don't know how else to describe it!

| Was waiting for someone to come back with that one bumble.....
Been and got our teardrop Abs, got boatloads of photos of her ( funny you called it a her)... as its going to be called Joan... Also we've got Ronnie in mid sate of major interior improvements ( with photo's), but i really am really really..... yes really hopeless at uploading stuff on here.
Anyhow, Joan's an 8 year old 1200 Turtle that's been looked after and now we've some wrapping to sort out for her and a bit of colour co-coordinating of the interior to go with her snappy chappy Ronnie... ________________________________________________________________________________ Timmm

| Cheers Abs... that's how it started, sorry about the garage name in the background...not intended to advertise...
I've been there 30 years and the only vehicle I've ever owned that costs me money instead of making money is our little pride and joy ...Ronnie... ________________________________________________________________________________ Timmm

| Ronnie's coming on a bit now... Now we've done the outside, just got the interior underway... got some cabinets made by a local company to incorporate plenty storage, a tv/dvd and a top loading fridge. And the upholstery is booked in a week on Monday for updating in his new colours.
Our little teardrop has arrived (Joan) and is hopefully going to get vinyl wrapped the same colour as Ronnie's... with a little twist!!! and is going to have a cooker, fridge and storage as well, just in case we dare take her away on her own at some point. ________________________________________________________________________________ Timmm

| I managed to lose one of the drop nose pins from my tow bar on the way to the sleepover. These pins hold the tow bar into its housing so thank goodness there are two of them!
Thank you to Tim, Daz and Tallulah for your help in providing a quick fix and I'm happy to say the trailer was pulled home without a problem.
It's difficult to know how it worked it's way out of the unit but certainly for piece of mind I'm going to pop on a small cable tie to stop it happening again.
I contacted Watling today and they are sending a new one to me at a cost of £12 + postage.

| HH I'd carry a long bolt and nut onboard in future just in case it happened again. It could be that someone pinched the pin. I have a padlock on one - do you do the same? ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

I also use a padlock to secure the towball section to the tow bar socket... er sorry forgot to add that I drilled an additional hole through the pin for the padlock to pass through
