PostSubject: Fitting a moto- lita steering wheel   steering - Fitting a moto- lita steering wheel EmptySun Oct 13, 2013 9:58 am

I'm thinking of replacing the original steering wheel with one from moto- lita. I'm just a bit worried about getting the correct boss to suit. Information from previous posts suggests that the boss fixing for a1974-1779 bay is the same as for a brazilian bay.on looking at the MCJ Products web site ( a possible optional choice ) I notice they have a late bay & braz. Bay as separate items on their drop down for choice of boss.this would suggest they may be different. Any thoughts please.
Has anyone fitted a 15 inch. Steering wheel. As I have power steering I think it could be a a good option. Thank you.

I believe the issue is the indicator stalk and its activation. The mech at the top of the Kombi steering column is different to that of a Classic Bay. You can fit a steering wheel from a Mk1/2 Golf on the column so if you were to choose an aftermarket wheel suitable for a Mk1/2 Golf, that should fit.

They didn't have a separate boss - it was all part of the steering wheel. Dazdub has a Mk1 Golf steering wheel on his BraziBay.

Thanks everyone. i think il play safe and buy from MCJ. moto- lita web site gives same boss ref. no. for late bay & early golf. Does not fill me with confidence. Thanks again.

People seem very happy with the MCJ products.
