Appreciate where your coming from, but personally I would rather go to someone who knows the bus and all it's quirks inside out, and most dealerships have probably never worked on one before. The exception being the 'aqua' engine, where as people like our advertisers on here specialise in them, just saying......

Peppa, the specialists to whom I refer are Vw Kampers and brand autos, both well worth a visit if you are based down South. It's good to hear that the main Vw dealers are working for you, they weren't interested down here when I first approached them when I bought my van.

As Danbury is a bit too far for a service we have our 'Olive' serviced at a VW main dealership locally. I did check that they knew all about the Brazilian Bay and fortunately there are a couple of guys there who know all about the T2 and really enjoy sorting ours out as it's all a bit old school for them...except for the engine of course!

I think it depends on the garage and their staff. We get calls every day without fail here at Danbury from other garages asking us what to do and how to do it as they have a Danbury in for a service…. Its amazing they accept work, charge the customer then call us to find out what and how they should be doing it!

We tend to go back to Danbury for our servicing - We live in Luton so we just combine the service visit with a weekend away some where in the area . Can honestly say we have always had a good experience with guys in Yate from purchase through to after sales service. I guess you speak as you find ,but taking the vehicle back makes it a lot easier since they do know what they are doing . I know they may be a little more expensive, but the we like to think that we are giving our pride and joy the best chance of trouble free touring.

Thanks Bileos , is that Beadles as I might look them up?? I tried VW in Canterbury and Ashford who said that they wouldn't want to work on them!!!! Dartford is only 50 miles from me so could give me another option...
