Annual trip to Cornwall Empty
PostSubject: Annual trip to Cornwall   Annual trip to Cornwall EmptyTue Jul 01, 2014 6:35 pm

Just back from our annual trip to Cornwall with Pat, her son and daughter in law, and grand-children.

Unfortunately had to rough it in a cottage as youngest was 3 months old.  Smile

We stayed at Mylor Bridge at the head of the creek leading to Mylor and Falmouth.

Whilst we were at the cottage, the air sea rescue helicopter landed on the green to pick up a doctor on a 'hurry-up' call out.

I think they must be like buses, come in threes, because lunchtime today, two landed in the field behind my house.  Very Happy

Don't say that Scooby. Big it up, tell 'em it's really difficult and that you have to be an IT whizz to do it, with a degree in journalism.  Very Happy

We used to spend two week each year camping at Swanpool beach just along from your picture of Gyllyingvase Beach, Falmouth. Sadly there is no campsite there now, nor any other campsite so near to the town.
We did re-visit by staying at the hotel opposite Gyllingvase. This was a couple of years ago in late January. We noted that it was bad luck for the Christmas decorations to still be up in the Dining Room at that time. The hotel was destroyed by fire soon after.
