I know that a few of us use Twitter fairly frequently so thought it might be useful if we put our contact details on here so that we could Follow each other.

Sorry, Steve, I've just seen this. I go through phases of thinking Twitter is ok then I get a bit bored with it. I think it depends on who you follow and who follows you.

I'm not too bothered who follows me, as I don't tend to use it too much but, that said, I do find it a very good way of getting touch with customer services of companies. Quicker than phone in a lot of instances and cheaper if they have the gall to charge premium line rates. Funnily enough a call can take for ages to get through, earning them a tidy profit, but a few choice tweets can work wonders.

One of our neighbours had a water leak (burst pipe) on their drive last year, while they were in the call queue waiting to speak with someone, I used tweeted using the Thames Water hash tag and got an almost instant response.

The van coming to have a look arrived while the neighbour was still waiting in the queue!

Apparently it's what young people use - as informed by my daughters! Geriatric teenager me!!

I forgot Instagram: I'm Absinthekombi (what a surprise!) I'm on Pinterest too but I'm not sure why - Alison loves it for her Crafty stuff.

Ooh Pinterest, my not so secret addiction! Speediest way to waste a valuable hour of my life!
