As Tallulah says, you may be lucky and find a sticker, I did. It will be a hand written label with something like LA6M in marker pen. (In my case I just googled the four characters and it came back with a full description of the paint colour etc)

Another silly question,.... as you know it is an original Danbury, have you asked them to look through their records. I would have thought as they are a main dealer, it would be basic that they kept a record of the paint code in case it had to go back for any body repairs in the future.
