Hi and after some key information!

Hi There

One or two might have seen me this there at a few festivals, I stock every key that VW ever made...bar one and that's the all important one for you guys!

So I'm here to get some information as opposed to advertising my wares

I had a few brazilian owners over the summer looking for a spare key for their much loved T2, but I was unable to supply one as they are fitted with a transponder chip (to work the immobiliser) and I don't have the blanks available that will take a transponder chip.

So one of my missions this winter is to track some down for next years festivals.

If anyone is around N Norfolk and has a Brazilian, I want to check the profile of the keyway I think from memory it's a VB/HV profile, or if anyone knows their onions or keys and can confirm this that would be great.

Lastly has anyone had any joy in getting a working transponder key for their brazilian?

can you cut a key from the registration number from a van supplied by yourselves?

No we need the van and the black key tag that came with the van so we can code the new key to match the immobiliser . If not then we can change the immobiliser to suit new keys .

What's the cost please...

are the new Danbury keys more durable than the Brazilian ones?

not wanting to take work away from you, but i am a couple of hundred miles from you.

Does that mean that it is possible to get a key direct from my home town VW agent?

Maybe Timmm.... ? If they did I suspect it would cost a lot more .... We've worked on and understand these kombis more than any vw main agent .

What do we need to do to get the info to you to tell us what we need to get a key from VW instead of the long trip, I'd be happy to pay you for the info, I just don't fancy a two day trip for a key.

We can supply new keys and Recode the immobilizer system .We do also offer this as a postal service for those who don’t fancy a road trip to Essex ! Contact us for information on what you have to send us for this service.

Key Prices including immobilizer coding is £120.00 for the first new key and an £25 per extra key coded at the same time. (plus allow for some carriage if you want to send us immobilizer unit)"

Seems to answer your need. I'd give them a call.

You don't need to pay anyone for advice Timmm. Just call whatever vw dealer you would like to use and ask them if they will take on the work / job for you . I can't answer this on their behalf sorry . I can supply you with a blank key if that helps . Thanks

Hi Tim. Prices change depending on VW and exchange rates etc but currently £99 + vat
