Great site just found it today! I got my aircooled bay early last year, it was completely empty and had no roof conversion then. Here are a few pics of when we got him. Quite a bit of work to make a camper.
I need to organise my photos to give a full account of the work carried out.

Hey - welcome.
So a blank canvas then - that's exciting. I'm already intrigued to see what you've done .......

A few more pics of my conversion to camper.
First the floor I used 18mm plywood and used a router to cut out clearance for all the high sections in the floor. I needed to join it as a 8x4 sheet couldn't quite cover it in one but also discovered it wouldn't have fitted through the door anyway. It took ages to do but gave a strong floor with a nice flush fit.
Next was rock n roll bed but I needed to make brackets in order to fit to my bay, must be slightly different rear bulkhead to original. This was also a preliminary fit of a mock unit to check dimensions of fridge/smev unit/water/waste/gas etc.

Hello and welcome, very interested to see the development of your camper and hear about the amount of work it takes.
Hi, good stuff welcome aboard. I am currently converting my panel van which was in a similarly naked state when I brought it.. I am currently having windows put in and am manufacturing my own panels.
I will have a load of questions for you I am sure!!
I will post a few more pics up when I get him back from the window fitters. be interesting to compare notes.

The camper is nearly finished just a few tweaks here and there. Will get a full report done soon.
