Back in October 1986 the M25 was opened - probably the only time is has been clear since! Doo you remember it being opened? Doo you and your Kombi use it much?

Scooby has been on it a few times but he did not like it - most of our trips we go west . . .

From your title Scooby, thought you might have posted a more cheerful youtube link

His voice and riffs still make the hairs on back of my neck stand up.

A Teessider will do that to you, DL. I remember seeing him before his was famous, playing the Filmore in Saltburn, I think.
His family have run Ice Cream parlours in Middlesbrough for many, many years.
A great talent.

The M25 is a hell-hole that I have to endure most days, particularly between junctions 9 and 14. No matter what time of the day I head onto it, there's a jam. The only time it was decent was when it first opened in my area and wasn't entirely complete - that kept a vast proportion of folks off it!!

If Heathrow gets the go ahead for the third runway they're talking about making the M25 14 lanes

I travel on it a couple of times a week between 9 and 10. Every night it goes down to one lane for repairs . Between 9 and 8 I hear of accidents all the time so I will avoid at all costs. I had a frightening blowout myself once on that stretch. Fridays are a nightmare...the jam now starts as early as lunchtime. I like going anticlockwise from 8 because it means we are going to Dover and France. Sometimes I have to travel to Essex and Suffolk but I hate the Dartford crossing...both ways. Mrs C.
