| We're doing it again in 2016!! Our team had such a blast riding this BHF charity event this year and on top of that we raised an astounding amount of cash. So let's go for it big time in 2016. The ride takes place between Clapham Common and Brighton Seafront and includes some fantastic roads and scenery. For 2016 we'll have 2 groups from brazilianvwbay: Sports and Family. Essentially the Sports group will be for those who really want to go for it and get down to Brighton, as a team, in as quick a time as possible. The Family group is for those wishing to take their time and simply enjoy the ride. So reply below if you're interested and state which group you think you'd like to be in. Once we establish who's interested, we'll sort out some dates to get together for some practise rides - for both groups. Plus those will be fun days to get the BraziBays together too. If you have friends that would like to join the team then please feel free to add them in. I'm really wanting a big presence from the club at next year's event - so let's do all we can to get our Kombis and their families involved!! November 16th is the day I can register the team, so I'll do that and we'll make up the groups from then. If you rode with us last year, please come again. If you've never done it, why not give it a go? You'll get a great sense of achievement, make new friends, and raise cash for a worthy cause. PS: if you want to see how it went first time around, have a look at this link: Brazilian VW Bay Bike To Brighton - Sunday 21st June - Page 13Update 18th November: I've now registered our team for next year. It is simply known as 'brazilianvwbay' You can now join the team by clicking the following link: L2B 2016 Team Join Update 20th April:

| I've changed the date of the 2016 Northern Meet so that it doesn't clash with the Bike Ride. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| I've just had a terrific letter of thanks from the BHF congratulating us on raising £1999.30 on this year's ride. I was given the opportunity to priority book our team in for next year, so have done so. Please see the link at the foot of my first post in this thread. Reply when you have signed up please? Let's do this again!!!! ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| I took advantage of the Christmas Day online sales and sorted myself out a new ride for our Brighton blast. Only problem is ... it's blue and white ... may have to repaint something!! giant-bicycles.com ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

Destroyed my rear light in last weekends rain. Its in the airing cupboard, I'm hoping it recovers! | |

| Had my first proper ride today on my new bike around Richmond Park with Surfwagenstan - it was cold but bright. Coincidentally as I rode along I received an email from the BHF encouraging me to get into training for the Brighton run! We still need more folks signed up to this please? If you have used the link in the first post to sign up and haven't mentioned yet that you are coming, please do let us know. If you needed something to have as a goal this year, why not make it this ride. It will be a superb day, in good company and I guarantee you will feel a real sense of achievement. We raised £2 grand last year and I bet we can beat that this year! Looking forward to this being a real BraziBay event!! ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Just to let you know I am currently looking into a number of different options for cycle wear for this years and subsequent Brazi Bay Cycle Team Rides. As soon as I have more information I will post on this thread as well as putting out a Cycle wear thread of it's own.
Firstly though please get yourself signed up for this years event and start thinking about putting some training in...
