Last year we had a real treat when we got to drive our BraziBays around the world famous motorsports track at Goodwood. The day far exceeded our expectations and even had the Goodwood folks in awe of the colourful display our campers created on their circuit, despite the dull weather!
So this year, we're lucky enough to do it again and consequently I'd like to dedicate the day to a super little boy I met earlier this year at a friends' fundraiser, whose name is Loui Legend. Loui was born with Treacher Collins Syndrome and over the first 2 years of his life has had to undergo a host of medical procedures with more to come over the forseeable years. His parents, Luke and Karly, work tirelessly to care for their son and need as much emotional, physical and financial support to ensure Loui has the best quality of life. Despite his condition, Loui has a wonderful personality. He has a trach fitted to his throat, so is unable to speak but amazingly he has learnt to sign. You can read Loui's story by clicking on the following link:

Meet Loui:
We are only allowed 40 Kombis on the track. We have to pay Goodwood per vehicle to go on the circuit. But that doesn't mean we can't have more BraziBays along to spectate and take part in a Kombi Konvoy. To help raise funds for Loui I propose the following:
Entry to drive on the Goodwood circuit is £34 per BraziBay
Each BraziBay can raise individual sponsorship for their time on the track. The BraziBay that raises the most sponsorship will be awarded a prize on the day, after the laps.
Any additional campers coming along for the day, that don't get to drive on the track, but do take part in the Konvoy, will pay £10.
Our group will park up before and after the track session in the Old Control Tower Car Park. I was thinking we could have a cake/food sale whilst we're there, as I know a lot of you are highly skilled in the kitchen.
If you have any other ideas as to how we could raise funds on the day for Loui, please suggest them below.
All being well, Loui, Karly and Luke will be joining us on the day, so you'll all get to meet this wonderful little chap and see why I wanted us to help him.
NB: please be mindful that our time on the track is NOT a race, and your insurance probably doesn't cover you for the laps that you will do. We certainly don't want any accidents on the day, so please be careful and drive within your and your Kombis limits.
Paying for your slot on the grid can be done by bank transfer to the club account or you can send me a cheque. Let me know if you need the details. I'd prefer not to set up a Paypal button as that way we'll either have to charge more or lose some of the funds we raise.
Looking forward to seeing you on the grid!!

1430 at the latest, depart for The White Horse @ Graffham GU28 0NT
1500 Late lunch @ The White Horse
Departures whenever folks feel like.
Our late lunch at The White Horse: this venue is perfect for our winter meet as it's in a delightful location and has ample parking for our BraziBays. Unlike previous years when we have had an early supper, this year we'll have a late lunch so those that have a long way to travel, won't be doing so in so much of the dark. I'll shortly be putting up the menu for the day, for folks to PRE-ORDER ONLY. There was some confusion last year whereby extra orders were placed on the day for food and those who had pre-ordered did not receive their food at the same time as many in their group. To avoid this, all main courses must be PRE-ORDERED before the day. There will be no option to order a main on the day. Puddings yes, mains no. That way we should avoid last year's situation. Hope that makes sense!!
Menu choices for our meal at The White Horse:
Starters
Potato & Leek Soup & crusty bread £5.50
Or
Anti Pasti with Warm Breads £6.50
Mains
Chicken, Bacon & leek pie with Creamy mash and seasonal vegetables. £13.50
Sticky Short rib of Beef, Coleslaw, Hand Cut Chips & dressed salad £15.00
Wild Mushroom and Tarragon Tagliatelle topped with Parmesan Shavings £11.50
Can folks please pm me with your food choices by Monday 13th Feb please? Ta
