| Bought a second-hand sunflower (funky leisure) awning and looked at the best ways to fix it to Bumble, bearing in mind the roof rack. Gonna have to come up with a cunning plan. Also put both batteries on charge. P. | |

P. You need to get a shorter pole and some clamps. You do end up with a flappy end but easier than removing the roof rack each time.

Maybe a short piece of 'figure of 8' could sort out the flappy end? | I kept a piece of pole that I'd sawn off one that was too long and use it between the roof rack legs with an additional clamp to avoid flappiness. ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

Maybe a short piece of 'figure of 8' could sort out the flappy end? (ooh er!) As it is, I need three clamps already, as it didn't come with any clamps. I think I'll try it with the pole from our drive-away awning first, as this is the right length for Bumble. I have two long figure of eight pieces that I'm loathe to cut until I can try it out; one thing's for sure, I aint taking the roof rack over every time! P.

| Got Bumble off the drive to go to fill up with petrol and ....................................... ............... ran out of petrol Still, better it happened today than on Friday morning. (must have been running on gasses coming back from Dubs in the park - alternatively, as Bumble is parked on a slope when not being used, all the petrol ran away when being levelled?!) P. | |

| Went to a camping shop and bought an extra length of figure of eight. Then sat in Godstone farm car park having a cup of coffee and cutting the figure of eight to fit around the roof rack; with a bit of adjustment, it now fits and shouldn't fall off! | |

| Unpacked after spending the weekend in Salisbury, with the bikes. Over the weekend we bought a krooklock in a charity shop (at least for visible deterrent value), cycled all around Salisbury and 'did' all of the charity shops at least once!
Re-stocked Bumble will essentials, as we had no wine over the weekend and drank all the lager we had (well it was only four small bottles!)

Packing tomorrow Funnily enough, we checked tyre pressures over the weekend; Bumble was running very well all weekend. I was also surprised when I had to tighten the sliding door handle main screw a while back - it was a bit loose! We also dropped into Just Kampers on the way back and bought a spare fan belt (having seen the discussion about essential spares). (I've also just put a set of three different sizes of cable ties into Bumble - a pack I must have bought several years ago in France, which was doing no good in the shed!). P.

P. I popped into Just Kampers yesterday too! I also picked up a spare belt and a new arial. I like what they've done to the reception area.

| I bought one of these to add to the growing number of kitchen utensils. It was recommended in Martin Dorey's new book. The plan is to try it out at the Northern Meet this weekend. | |
