thanks for the reminder. We want to get LED lights to replace the Danbury tubes

Just a word of warning, I bought an LED strip light as a straight replacement for the tube, and then found that the orientation of the pins was such that the LEDs were directed at a 90 degree angle to what we needed. You can of course fit a completely new light fitting, but that is a bigger job.

But definitely worth it, though.

Bled the brakes (Brakes binding when hot).
Couldn't get the Drum Hubs off though Evil or Very Mad
Undersealed everything (including most of me) until the tin ran out.
Found my Steering box seal is leaking.
One step forward.......

New matz from Madmatz arrived so popped them into Tigerlily. Needed a few minor alterations to fit around the Empi Shifter and power steering. Very happy with the new look for Summer 2017

Drove down to Romsey yesterday and then picked up our daughter following her nine month cruise (mostly working!) from Southampton.

I mostly slept through the thunder and lightning last night, as well, not so Monica Crying or Very sad

Came to the conclusion that our fridge/coolbox is no good, so will definitely have to be changed. We were on hook-up last night (included in the overnight camping price), but it still came up 'battery low', after a couple of hours, so stopped working last night. The sockets were still working, so not a mains feed problem. Mad

You must be a very deep sleeper P. That storm kept us up most of the night, and we were in a house!

Leisure battery on charge for this weekend's trip out to the West Midlands cheers

Stopping at a campsite with no hook-up on Saturday night, so need the fridge to last more than a few hours (last weekend made sure the starter battery was fully charged up and knew that the leisure battery was less than half-charged, possibly why the fridge stopped working - indicating 'battery low' - but surely being on hook-up should have charged/by-passed the leisure battery?! Evil or Very Mad )

My charger unit will run the fridge even if leisure battery is flat However it is possible earlier models only charged the battery and if the fridge draws more power than the charger is providing the battery will inevitably go flat.

That's fair enough, I guess I had expected the draw of the fridge to be less than the input from the electrical hook-up, when all that was being used was a phone charger, our LED lights and the fridge! Shocked

It's one of the reasons why I want to redo the internal van electrics; I've never understood the Zig unit (usually fitted to a caravan, I know) and how it works in conjunction with the hook-up and sockets, fridge and lights. It seems far more complicated than it needs to be; our vans aren't complex creatures and I'd like to redesign a much simpler set-up that works (!), before taking the next step and fitting solar panels.

Drove to Pershore yesterday, stayed overnight in a nice small campsite.

Today we drove to Worcester and met up with Minty, collecting her old RNR bed (thanks Vladaria cheers ). Then we drove south of Worcester and met up with Daisy May (with JackieC!)

On the way back, we passed another yellow Brazibay - 55 plate - near Witney; are you on here?

Loaded Tallulah with a load of c**p from the garden and sheds and took it to the tip. I'll be doing the same tomorrow.

Took out the radio and reset it, so it now works again and I get clean, crisp DAB radio signals.... cheers

..... well, in the garden anyway! Very Happy

Also took off and tweaked the angle of the JK cup-holders in the front, so that they're now level. sunny

Fitted the Leisure Battery with a new £5 bracket from Halfrauds.
Fitted a new engine door seal.
Ran new wires from the interior light to feed LED strips over the side windows later.
Fitted new door cards. Fitted the radio speakers into the door cards (instead of being behind the seats).
Much better sound quality sound (Can actually hear it now). The door cards act as a sound board Smile
Repositioned the cooker.

We went all cultural and watched Pericles at Hatherop Castle. The van was ideal to carry friends plus picnic baskets, chairs. At half time I had the kettle going to make a hot water bottle for Sue as it was getting very chilly on the outdoor seating.

Packing almost finished. Just clothes to do. A couple of pairs of shorts and a few polo shirts will be enough, surely...
