| Instructions for returning the R&R bed to seat position say 'First slightly raise the seat back, then raise the front of the seat base and push back into position' Quite a stretch to do both of these at the same time and difficult to get fingers in and make the first lift of the seat back. Screwed a length of leather belt to the back of the seat to make this much easier. osg | |

| That’s a really good idea osg. I’ve always found the R and R return a pain in more ways than one! | |

| Unable to do the same as T2D2 as we have an extra fold down shelf at the end of the Diamond kitchen unit. This prevents any raise of the front of the seat until the back is more upright. osg | |

| Partly in the interest of science, and partly as a legal necessity took dizzy in for an MOT. (Could have gone in earlier before the new rules kicked in, but wanted to see if it made any difference) Had a chat with the tester, (having checked the lights earlier, and found the reversing light was playing up to see if that mattered, (he normally fixes minor problems for free)) and he said as far as lighting goes the new regs apply to fog lights, amongst other things. To cut a long story short, it failed on a split steering gaiter on the Danbury direct drive, and rear brake hoses chafing on the underside. (I think he has a rubber fetish ) I thought 'great' he's going to have to get the parts from Danbury or Creative Engineering, but no, he has managed to get them elsewhere so in tomorrow to be fixed. As an aside, as I drove away, I noticed he had switched the daytime running lights I had fitted, on, so whether that is part of the test now I don't know, I will ask tomorrow. | |

| Drove back from Guildford towing my Erde 193 (big) trailer First time I had towed with Bumble and, although the trailer was empty, it didn't make that much of a difference to driving or manoeuverability. P. | |
