| Any chance of an under engine photo so we can see how they've installed your exhaust? ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Hi-Watch for any back pressure changes when using non genuine parts as this could affect the engine performance etc.... | |

Hi suefjones How are you getting on with your Longlife exhaust? Our exhaust is on its way out and I'm looking at replacing it with a stainless steel one. What sort of price did you pay? Thanks Julian

| We are also looking at replacing some of our exhaust as it has officially gone, not bad as its only 11 months old . We will be using longlife, initally just the bit thats gone, and slowly add on to it, to replace all of it over time. ________________________________________________________________________________ Matt. | |

| I had a long life exhaust fitted a few years ago, cost me £299, all the pipes to the CAT, the guy ask me how I wanted it to sound, so I said like a air cooled porche! still, to me it sounds like a VW bus, and runs well. They have the ability to make the exhaust sound as quiet or as load as you like.
Also for Pics, see Bobs post under aircooled section

| Given that Longlife appears to be popular on this site, perhaps the good Tim could negotiate some club discount for us? | |

| I've just seen the spot in November's Camper & Bus about VW Downunder's custom stainless steel exhaust for an AquaBay. Over a grand including the cat. Is there anyone out there prepared to pay that level of cash for such an item? ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

Think the finish of the relic and tourer models are ok, but as you said his prices are way off, if i had to replace peppa ( god forbid) i would still choose danbury, just buy the people carrier or van and do it my way...
Its all personal choice at the end of the day, but disagree on your thoughts on VW Downunder costs against Danbury. In my calculations VW Downunder come in for less and their quality is streets ahead. I tried to buy a people carrier off Danbury but Jason flatly refused and I was forced into buying an Amigo, ripped it out and did my own thing which is what we wanted to do in the first place so for me, my Danbury experience was very poor.

| I know that stainless exhausts (if good quality) do cost a lot to manufacture so its a personal choice of having the standard steel or paying that extra amount and having a longer lasting stainless system. If anyone needs help just ask.... | |
