I suspect they have just been repainted - why else would there be no front number plate fitted?

May have had a re-spray job overall, DVLA shows it as blue......which would make sense to match the trailer, blue bottom half, orange top. (Do like the slide out step though, doesn't interfere with the jacking points, and it also comes in an optional electric retraction system ....at a price)

Just had a phone call from the guy selling this Kombi. He's a trader, bought it off the RNLI. The vehicle was wrapped in blue for its promotional work. He's going to register and give more details.

Ive spoken to Paul (Nice Chap) who is the owner of this camper and it sounds like a genuine Brazilian!
I agree with Tim in regards to Jason's comment that he should elaborate on his comment as it might put off potential buyers for what might be a small dent etc..

I'm not sure it would be right for Danbury to comment on someone else's van in an open public forum.
Maybe the best thing would be for anyone interested in this van to contact Danbury discretely to ask about it. Even then, I've got my doubts as to whether they should reval anything.
Maybe mentioning it in the first place was a little unwise.

However despite the needless ambiguity of the post in question, the fact that it's covered 58,000 miles bodes well for its worth.
Insurance work could be as little as a scratched panel.
Anyone interested should just run a HPI check - like you always should on any used vehicle.

I'm actually surprised that no-one's made an offer on this yet. You could probably sell the teardrop on for £2,000 which leaves a very good value Kombi. It might be the lack of camping interior putting people off.

Hi Everyone, I'm Paul with the RNLI Kombi,the Kombi was wrapped all over including the bumpers, the same as the Pod which is still wrapped & is red underneath.The Kombi roof is still wrapped & is white underneath. It was done for nearly all its life for RNLI promotional work until 2 weeks ago. This has protected the body work & paint really well, the front bumper just had a couple of water marks on the top so it was resprayed. It wasn't rusty at all. Lovely mechanically, & drives great, the clutch is also good.There are 3 new pictures on E bay.Any questions please feel free to call or text me Thanks Paul

THE RNLI KOMBI IS NOW SOLD WITHOUT THE RETRO TEARDROP CAMPER POD BY DANBURY.IT IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR £1900.AS YOU KNOW IT IS CURRENTLY WRAPPED IN THE BLUE SURF SCENE BUT IS RED UNDERNEATH AND IT WILL TAKE A DAY TO REMOVE.THE PAINTWORK WILL BE GREAT AS IT HAS BEEN PROTECTED BY THE WRAP JUST AS THE KOMBI IS.THANKS PAUL...07770 225711.
