Hi guys,  this engine warning light has come on yesterday in our T2 (2014 plate from Danbury) and it's stalled a few times whilst driving. Our usual mechanic says it needs to be plugged into a diagnostic tool to check what the fault is (he suggests a coil pack or sensor maybe the issue) but he doesn't have the diagnostic tools to check. Does anyone know of someone/mechanic local to the Chessington KT9 postcode that has the tools and can look at this? It needs an MOT and the exhaust looking at as well as it blowing slightly. Any contacts or advise welcome. Cheers!

You've got a great option that's not too far from you. He's a very trusted Brazibay expert that many forum members use to maintain their Kombis.

Paul will be able to plug in and find out the fault code ( we are having a similar problem with our 2012 brazi) posted earlier this evening.

Just been through the mill with this. Bertie kept stalling. Shaking in low gear. And engine revving by itself when idling. Engine warning light duly came on. Problem with fuel sensor but couldn't get ECU diagnostic codes to pinpoint problem because they (the Brazilian codes) were pre-2012 and therefore unreadable (and untraceable). But (in fact two buts)... a diagnostic mechanic able to spot that the fuel sensor wasn't earthed properly (as opposed to a fuse playing up) which was a brilliant spot; also, although the specific diagnostic codes are unreadable the diagnostic mechanic was able to get an ECU read on the fact it was the fuel sensor which was causing all the problems (though not specifically why). Hope that might be some help particularly for those of us with pre-2012 Brazilian ECUs because it baffled the hell out of my local VW mechanic for three weeks. Cheers, Jambutty
