Any pointers for rechroming Merlot's rather rusty front bumper? I've heard it can be cheaper to buy a new one, but no luck with Danbury or VW Heritage...
Thanks!

Give Nigel @ BRM Coachworks a call, 01372 270222 - they do classic restorations and I'm sure they have details of a rechroming service. They're in Epsom.

I've just bought a new rear bumper from Custom and Commercial. Question is, has anyone fitted one? Before i get my spanners out i wondered if the fixings are ok for my aqua kombi.
Advice from anyone who has fitted a C &C rear bumper would be appreciated

I would make sure you have stainless bolts rather than the black ones - looks better

Should bolt straight to the chassis underneath, pretty straight forward, useful to have someone hold it in place while you put the first few bolts in.

Only the front as you can't see the back ones

Ok so some feedback, got bumper off, compared it with the C&C bumper and the fixings are in a different position. Although there is a note on their site to say cut the fixings out and then drill the bumper I think that if I go that way i will distort the bumper so i am going to talk to a local workshop to see if the fixings can be cut and moved to the same position as the old bumper.
