LANN HOEDIC
This was one of the campsites we used this year. It is on the Golfe due Morbihan, on the south side of Brittany, in a the small hamlet of Le Roalguen. We found it to Be a quiet campsite campsite of around 100 pitches with 2 mixed toilet blocks. There is a children's play area at the far end of the site and an animal feeding area with chickens, goat, pig and guineas. The setting is rural and coastal. The nearest beach is 10 minute walk down a wooded track which brings you to a beach and a board walk/path which follows the coast giving access to many beaches. The town of Sarzeau is 3 or 4 km away and has a super u supermarket and a good selection of shops and a weekly market. There is a castle at Suscinio which is 7 km away. The area is very cycle orientated with cycle routes leading all over the area. The city of Vannes is a 30 km round trip by bike involving a small passenger ferry across le passage. Vannes is a very pretty medieval city full of Tudor style buildings. The golfe of morbihan is about a 2 hour drive from st malo Malo along motorways and is very easy if you have never driven in france before. This would make a very good destination for anyone wanting to try out france and is not looking for an all singing and all dancing site. The staff speak English and are always happy to see a vw. facebook page

Just to say - totally agree with the recommendation above. We ended up here for a few nights as we worked our way round Northern France. Delightful site - quiet, near some lovely beaches, some good cycling and attractive towns and villages all within easy reach. Staff were really helpful and friendly. They remembered Matt and his van and even showed me pics of when he was there! They also took one of Morrison for us….

Glad you liked it. We realy liked this site, and ended up there twice. Very friendly and helpful. Nearly ended up there again last week but opted for st malo area for a few days instead.

Aha - so there was another Brazibay in France the same time as us ! I was quite amazed not to have seen at least one other van whilst on our travels over the 1500 miles and 7 campsites! Or is that normal?

We're in a lovely site just outside Cancale - Bois Pastale. Nice and quiet at the moment but just wait until the French hols start in a couple of weeks! The region is called the emerald coast and the scenery is beautiful.

We returned to lann hoedic earlier this year for a few nights on our way back to st malo. The site has built a bar area that they hold occasional music nights in. The owners husband is a very talented guitarist, and they encourage any musical guests to join in. Unbelievably the owners recognized us when we walked in to reception, and were alittle sad to see us not in a pink van. The site remains a lovely quiet campsite, and has many returning customers.

We stayed here a couple of years ago and the owners came out the moment they heard Bumble coming round the corner. We were only there one night and they came out and took a photo of Bumble, which went straight onto their Facebook page/website (cannot remember which). It's the picture of Bumble than went into the 2016 Brazibay calendar.
We cycled down to the coast and had a pizza sitting on the beach. Nice campsite and we'll go back there again.
