Day 1 with your BraziBay Empty
PostSubject: Day 1 with your BraziBay   Day 1 with your BraziBay EmptyFri Feb 24, 2012 9:35 pm

We've been following the story of GSalvage3 collecting his Kombi this week and it inspired me to start a new gallery topic: Day 1 with your BraziBay. Those of us lucky enough to own a New T2 can all remember the excitement of the day we brought our new campers home, so let's keep that feeling alive in pictures. Here's a couple of Max when we got back home from collecting him in Cambridge:

That large Danbury sticker was gone from the windscreen scuttle within an hour! He's changed quite a bit since that day. Max I love you

Here's the first pic I took of Dizzy when she had the DZL number, and a chrome VW emblem before it fell off. It was replaced with a white one which I intend to change for another chrome one when I get 'a round tuit.' Day 1 with your BraziBay Imgp0411

You're a tall chap aren't you Walmsleys!?! Good job your Kombi has that extra headroom, you'd probably struggle in a Classic T2.

Tim,

I do have to stoop a bit to see through the windscreen but I'm used to it. Had a Dutton Phaeton Kit Car many years ago - got rid of it because i looked like Dino from the Flintstones when I was driving it!!! Laughing

Have you got a swivel base on your front seat? Does add to the height.

No swivel base - just as well if it adds to the height! - strangely, I'm 6'5" but have relatively short legs so most of my height is my body which isn't good for the driving position.

Hi Guys

Yes - I agree with Michel - you've done a lot to Max over the years Tim - looks 100% better with all the kit especially the wheels which make a massive diff. I've just ordered (last night) the clear front indicators to see what they look like on Robin.
Also - Michel - your van is sooo cool - not sure why but your normal Avatar pic does not do it justice mate - get a new pic buddy! Get down to the Black Forest and put some amazing view behind your Bulli.
Finally - Walmesley - we could see the Dutton in your driveway pic - what fun!
Cheers - Batty

Batman. That's DL's kit. Mine was red and off road as often as on! I bought it in the depths of a mid life crisis! I'll try and dig a pic out later.
