I really fancy one of these colourful sun canopies. Bit pricey though.

| I would love a colourful pop top too one day for Margot. Grey does not suit her! | |

I reckon you could stain the canvas a different colour, but I wouldn't like to try it! VW Kampers can do you a replacement canvas in a colour of your choice, as I suspect would Danbury as they did do one for one of the director's Chris Jones, in red and white stripes. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

I really fancy one of these colourful sun canopies. Bit pricey though. We like the proud to pop website and fancied a colour canvas when we had our roof fitted - Danbury said no. It was quite easy making a sun canopy - no fancy stitching required, the wife just double stitched everything and I used waterproof seam sealer to protect the stitching. Our material was from ebay, all in I think we were about £60 plus two new poles. We'll need to save up for a coloured canvas, I think Mrs ST fancies the striped one

| Mrs Skytiger has done a fab job on your sun canopie!
Yes Tim, Proud to Pop have a section for us Brazibay owners. Our canvas is still in excellent condition so can't justify changing but will be looking for some colour for the next one.

| I imagine changing the canvas over is no easy task as the headlining is all going to have to come down. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| Is anyone using one of the Funky Leisure canopies with a roof-rack? Does it fit, or does the roof-rack have to be removed? | |

| I have a roof rack and a funky leisure canopy brought before I thought about such things. The canopy is really suited for a vehicle without a roof rack however I cut my pole down and whilst it still overhangs the gutter slightly it isn't really too unsightly... Might have a picture I can upload to show you if not will take one over in France and post that... ________________________________________________________________________________ Steve, Jo TigerLily and Carra the Child lovin' Golden Cocker | |

| We have bought a shorter pole so we don't have to take the roof rack off. You'll have to gather the canopy a bit at the ends but it works a treat. Funky Leisure supply them http://www.funkyleisure.co.uk/vango-airbeam-awning-pole--clamps-connection-kit---vw-type-2-5475-p.asp | |

| Here's a picture of our canopy, you'll see from the second photo, the overhang from the cut down pole.. My Kyham pole is shorter so am now thinking of using that and gathering in the canopy as BigDubblya suggested. ________________________________________________________________________________ Steve, Jo TigerLily and Carra the Child lovin' Golden Cocker | |

| Hope you managed to find a solution to your Funky Leisure canopy/roof rack conundrum, alderley. We're using our canopy for cover from the heat today and tomorrow for the rain. | |

| I had one when I first got Ginger, sent it back as it was rubbish. The dome kept inverting when ever there was the slightest bit of wind. It doesn't pack down small either ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |

| After a chat with a few helpful folks at the sleepover I chopped my funky leisure canopy pole down. Works a treat with the 'rack now (although could do with some more poles and guys in breezy weather like last weekend in Pembrokeshire!) | |
