We're going camping in Sussex in Lola at the end of October. Given, how cold it's going to be, we're going to sleep in her for the first time (two adults and two kids). I'm thinking I should get an awning to keep stuff in, shelter from the rain etc.
Can anyone offer any advice? I've heard Khayam ones are quite good. What should I be thinking about, looking out for etc..? I guess I need one that I can drive off from.
We like our Kyham Motordome Sleeper - see link below
I'll second that - been a great buy and really easy to erect and dismantle.

Take it from me Dickymint72 - YOU will totally appreciate the ease with which you can erect a Motordome Awning, whether it be a Classic, Tourer or a Sleeper.
You ought to be able to get a bargain one now too as shops tend to sell off the year model now before the new one comes in.

I've got the tourer but wish I'd gone for the classic. But there was quite a difference in price. Tourer is ok for just extra space though.
That said, if you only want it for space, could possible come to some arrangement if you are interested in quick buy (so I can upgrade ) Only been used 4 times & comes with groundsheet and carpet.

Change of mind. Think I'll be keeping the Tourer, as a quick review of Khyam's website shows the Classic no longer listed and the Tourer in limited stock. Seems Khyam has pulled the plug on this awning.
Just received our inflatable Vango Airbeam awning We bought this because it is smaller and lighter than our original (Dome - which is great but is heavy although simple to set up - best for planned stop at single site with a group rather than daily touring and moving on) We wanted something simple, fast to put up and take down that would suit just 2 of us. Had to get it out of the box and see how it works - so tried today - but did not peg and guy it out - so it is rather wrinkly and not pegged down - hence may look a bit of a dogs breakfast - anyway this is what we got in the box!
This is in the bag!
These are the goodies that include pole and clamp system, storm straps, even a mallet and a repair kit!
This is after pumping up the 2 support "poles" - a 2 min job to inflate
And just to demo without either pegging out or properly using guys etc to make it look smooth and professional! The quality is good with an inner sleeping tent, bug-screens etc. side door and end door - I have not rolled these up This has simply been an unpacking and look-see trial - waiting for a bit of warmth and hols. to really try it out - hoping to go to the Outer Hebrides when weather more appropriate. If we get there will bring back some pics. Has anyone any tips or recommendations what to see and where to stay?
