Eskdale Dubfest 4th-6th April 2014

I thought I'd put a separate post up about this event which takes place next year from 4th to 6th April. It's being held at the Eskdale Campsite in the Lakes.

We're definitely going to go - it'll be a nice way to start the season before Easter and Lilyvdub & SkoobyBlue have also expressed an interest. Booking is open from 5th November - I'll give them a ring and make a booking plus tell them about the Forum so that we can camp together if anyone else is interested.

If you think you can attend then add your name on this thread and I'll up date the list.

Have just realised Jo has family friends that we haven't seen for a while only 30 miles away so we are going to seriously look at making this one...

Go steady there beaky boy,you do realise how far north you will be travelling! Hope you make it , would be good to meet up again .

I know Tony, I might get a nose bleed coming that far up... Just checking holiday situation at work but looks like its available. Jo's family friend runs a hotel The Grange not from the Festival at Grange over Sands so we might add a night or two onto the trip and pop and see them... Its Jo's Birthday that weekend too so how better to celebrate it in a cold field with a bunch of northerners

Grange is more Grange-over-Grass these days - last time I was there, there were sheep grazing where the sand used to be!

never been to the Lakes, so would like to try but I've no idea at this stage what next year's calendar will allow. But definitely interested.

Be great to see you Chris - you managed to survive Muker unscathed (apart from smoke inhalation and me calling you John all weekend) so the Lakes should be a breeze!

Would really love to come, no one's called me John since and I can't afford the Woodbines. Just got to wait and see what the ex and I agree re weekends and also whether I have a job (even whether I've moved as a result of a job, heaven forbid)

We have schools up here, Chris - imagine the property you'd be able to buy! You could probably sell up and buy a small village in Cumbria...

Tempting but it would raise a few problems re child care.

Very interested in coming but unable to book holidays till Jan 2nd 2014 and need to find kennel for Fletcher but provisionally put us down. Tim
