Can anyone recommend an electric bike please? I've seen one in halfords. It folds and has small wheels. I think it's called a 'connect'. The doc says I'm allowed to cycle but nothing too strenuous so I thought one of these might be a good investment. Thanks in anticipation.

I have been using electric bikes for the last 15 years and found them invaluable, particularly when commuting to the railway station. Of the folding variety the best I used is a "Brompton Nano" which is a converted Brompton folding bike and weighs only 12 kilo without the battery. However this costs about £1900 so quite pricey. The Powacycle range has 2 models, the Lynx, 20 inch wheel, and the Puma, 16 inch wheel. These cost around £600 to £ 700 and weigh about 20 kilo including battery. They are easy to use and battery will take you about 20 miles (don't believe the advertised claims). They take up quite a bit of room so not sure if 2 would fit inside the camper. I put mine on a towbar fitted bike rack (at least I will next week when used on a camper trip for the first time).

A good web page is http://www.e-bikesdirect.co.uk/ who do quite a lot of different types.
