Cabin : Exec 027Location : Fair Oak, HampshirePosts : 2849Join date : 2012-04-19 Subject: LED lighting Mon Nov 04, 2013 9:47 pm I spotted some LED strip lighting in Aldi last week. It's designed to be used under kitchen cabinets and plinths but I decided to try it around the window of my Kombi.
Fitting the strips was very easy. They come with a durable self adhesive backing tap which sticks nicely to the back of the worktop and above the window frame. In order to turn a corner you simply cut the strip along a designated point and use one of the wire connectors included in the kit. The 5 metre pack was enough to frame the entire window with 200 little lights and conveniently plug into the socket above the back wardrobe.
They were first used at this weekend's Halloween Bash and I must say they give a really nice light particularly when the curtains are drawn.
It was difficult to take photos that fully show the effect but these give you some idea.
