There's an article in this month's Volksworld magazine about a road trip to Venice which is well worth a read. The main advice they gave was to allow plenty of time between stops as they said the roads (particularly through the mountains) were very slow.

Someone was telling me recently that there are various roads in Italy that campervans are banned from using between certain hours due to holding traffic up! Clearly not met our Brazilians then have they?!
