| Mrs B cleaned the curtains and re-hung them, we hoovered the carpets and did a bit of general cleaning, ahead of next weekend's trip to Hayfield. I think Boris is ready to start the season: ________________________________________________________________________________ Absinthe makes the heart grow fonder

| The new 'Glawning' arrived on Friday so I had a trial run of putting it up in the garden. I'm glad I did because it took me a while to get it right. Once completed it looked great and will be a welcome addition to our camping experience. | |

| Now that I have slightly raised the raising roof and fitted a new (and different) rubber trim, I cleaned, rubbed down and recleaned the gutters then masked up and painted them with white, smooth Hammerite.
Also cleaned up and touched in a few stone chips while I was waiting for the gutters to dry.
A few weeks ago I spotted a small patch of rust under the rubber seal just to the left of the latch on the rear door (boot, not sliding), so I moved the rubber out of the way, cleaned away as much as the rust as poss, treated it with kurust then painted it with smooth Hammerite. That should stop it getting worse in the short term until I can complete a more permanent repair.
Aside from a good clean, she's now ready for a week away over Easter - Norfolk then Rutland.

Have you started your packing piles ? No, although we already have multiple lists. Piles to follow in the week. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

Never been to one of those, most allow bbqs if raised off of the ground. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Might be a European thing...Brexit for briquette!!! This one does off the floor and stands on a table whilst not taking up all of the back of the van. Still to test. | |

| Now that you mention it I think the site on Ile de Re last year only allowed has bbqs. There were several of use using Cobb ovens and cooking devices and no one stopped us. ________________________________________________________________________________ www.alpinegrovetouringpark.com Twitter: @AlpineGrove Facebook: facebook.com/alpinegrovetouringpark

| Lovely picture...but where's the drink! I like the look of the Prakti. The site we used said something in French which seemed to translate as charcoal bbq ban. Given the drying winds and close proximity to the pinewoods I can see their point. | |
