Do you think it's likely to be 78,000 miles or km?
I can understand why you might put certain things in the advert, but why draw attention to a perceived design fault - re gears?
P.
I think that anyone who was considering buying a Brazilian van and had done a bit of research might already be aware that the gearbox might be a potential point of failure, especially in a high mileage van. I also suspect that this is a more common problem in watercooled than aircooled, either because of the higher power or weaker components or both. If I were selling our van I would consider it to be a selling point that it now has a German gearbox. A Brazilian gearbox with German internal components would be an even better combination.

Agreed, even though it's air-cooled if I was selling mine I would definitely make a point of mentioning the box has been rebuilt with a Brazilian case and German internals.
