Hi there, I bought my VW Brazilian Bay, Clemmie this time last year and am looking for some advice. I live just outside Swansea on the Gower peninsula. Clemmie needs her MOT next month and needs some bits of rust etc sorting out. Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for me for services that I can use without having to travel hundreds of miles. I'm really keen to keep her in tip-top condition as she is the love of my life. Many thanks, Em

I use a body shop in Stepaside 5 miles from Saundersfoot their work is excellent. Tim

I am taking Mabel to volks engineering in Cardiff on Monday, departing from my reliance on Danbury following some expensive and lacklustre service there. Going on a recommendation of a friend so I will report back!

Update... apart from me getting my days wrong, great service at Volks Engineering in Cardiff (volksengineering.co.uk) , knows the vans well and gives the personal servicethat I didn’t get in recent times at Danbury. Also, £102 for a minor service including oil and grease, very reasonable compared to Danbury’s £250+vat. He is going to give me (well Mabel) a wax undercoat refresh in March when it dries up (£80) and I will take it there for MOT as well I think.
