We have booked not missed 1 yet

Not sure what we will do. Maybe rent a pod at Eskdale as I'm not going to take the van out until it's sold.
(no delivery date on the new van so still hoping for May)

We're booked for the Saturday and Sunday night

We've booked Friday & Saturday night.
First time for us (too slow last year in trying to book) but really looking forward to spending time in a beautiful part of the Lake District.

nice walks, nice pubs, nice people, hopefully great weather. (Last year we had one really nice sunny day and down by the river was very popular.

Really nice site as said nice pubs lovely walks and a chilled out get together don’t go over hardknott pass unless you are like me a bit nuts I have done it twice now

That pass is certainly a challenge.

Yes we know the area pretty well having done lots of fell walking across the Lake District. Usually a bit quieter on the western side, but better for it!

We've not spent much time in Eskdale itself (always seem to be passing through) so looking forward to that.

We'll definitely not be coming via Hardnott, it's a bit of a challenge even in a modern vehicle, especially if there's oncoming traffic. You can't beat the distinctive smell of hot brake and clutch dust though.

Do you think this will be the last Eskdale Dubfest due to change of owners?

We might just need to have wee unofficial meets at Eskdale in the future

I hope it will still be run as not missed 1 and it’s a lovely site in a fabulous place with good pubs it must make a lot and to get a site full at that time of year is very good. Like you say if it’s not going to be opened as dubfest we will just have to go and have a meet up

It's also a site which is not accessible to caravans, and I would think it's also difficult for large motorhomes. If they didn't have Dubfest they would probably need some other event to fill it.

I do hope it's on next year. We are in Japan this year so missing the get together.

We stayed Saturday and Sunday nights, most folk were Friday and Saturday, so we had the place to ourselves on Sunday afternoon!

The wardens said there were lots of no shows this year, definitely not as busy as past years, but was good to meet up with folk at the start of the season

i don’t think it will be run next year but we are probably going to book and go a bit later so getting better weather

There is a Boot Beer Festival in June every year. That might be a good alternative.
