What are you going to put the other side of the dash to make it balance? The dials on the 2010 dash are all pushed over to the left, there's no room on the otherside to fit anything. ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van

| Another update. The heater unit is now totally finished and installed with the ducting going up to the front screen vents. Had a test at the weekend. Plenty of heat towards the passenger now. The screen vents work well but only to keep the screen clear once the heated screen has done it's bit, same as OSG in the other heater thread. The electronics are now complete All that's needed now is to fit the new dash facia and connect everything up. Hopefully be done by the end of the week. ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |

| What a fantastic achievement Kiteman! Good design and good presentation too. I will be interested to see the switching set-up and who is allowed control. Having reached the screen vents would you have room for an open branch to the dashboard vents? This might give more flow to the sidewindows. osg | |

Also not sure if you would then get enough air flow for both, gonna leave it as is for the time being but might try it at a later date. I originaly looked at running two sets from the fan but there's not enough room to run both the 70mm and 50mm together. I've also got the under dash tray on the drivers side which limits me for space as well. ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van

| Ginger will be at the Volksworld show on the Sunday, I'm sure if you ask her nicely she can give you all a little demo. What with her moving flaps and my firey balls, we make quite a good team ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |

| It's all finished and working a treat. Might change over the control switch as it's not as responsive as I would like it to be, but that's all. ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van | |

| After a chat with Lilyvdub at the Danbury open day, another idea was brought up. The fan speed for the heater is either fast or very fast. Once the screen is clear the fan doesn't need to be running as fast.
Had a little nose at the system already fitted and found that the fan fitted is a dual speed fan. It has two coils, one for fast and one for very fast. Any three position switch will do the same as the switch already fitted. To get the fan speed even slower then a controller needs to be fitted. On my search around the internet I've found THIS So am going to have a go at fitting it to mine
Looking at using the original switch and using the extra position that isn't used to give me three speeds. If not will just install the system as supplied giving any speed from 0 to max rpm. ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van

| Kiteman For your new fan control device the option of 0-100% ie. infinitely variable choice of NOISE seems a very good idea. osg | |
