Subject: Fuel Temperature Warning Light? Sat Feb 12, 2022 11:11 am
I have a Brazilian T2 Rio 2007. I have recently been getting what appeared to be an fuel temperature warning light coming up. The warning light has a fuel pump with thermometer next to it. Any ideas what it is and what needs to be done?
(I can't seen to upload a photo of it for some reason!)

There’s no fuel temperature warning. It’s as Tallulah suggested.

The reason for the thermometer symbol is that in Brazil where your kombi was built, the small tank is used to start the engine using regular petrol when the temperature is lower than say 15 degrees, while the main tank contains bio-ethanol.
Bio-ethanol is not available in the UK, so the low temp start is never an issue for us hence the small tank doesn't get used. E85 is available on some forecourts in France/Spain and our aqua buses love it, as does your wallet as it is (was) approx 1/2 the price of regular unleaded.
