| We are looking at the possibility of a trip up to Scotland in April or May (not booked any thing yet). Any "Brazilian Bay Friendly" sites/sights you can recommend along the way? Scooby | |

| Yes absolutely. Castlerigg in Keswick. You won't want to leave. Have a look in the 'Out and About' category. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay | |

| We have took advantage of a late easter this year combined with the royal wedding. Finish up on the thursday before good friday and start back on the 3rd may after the BH. Booked into Sandringham for a couple of days then Pinewoods @ Wells next the sea. Will then follow the Norfolk coast round to Aldeburgh. Now looking at Northern Spain via ferry to Bilbao then drive back through France. Cant wait | |

| The very mention of Castlerigg got my attention. Fantastic spot. Castlerigg Farm or Hall?
Our plans curtailed by first little one due at the end of July. Both being teachers we had planned 5 weeks of touring in Lily. Will have to wait until summer 2012 I think. A few weekends away before then though, New Forest (Roundhill) most likely destination, along with impromptu getaways before Mrs gets too big for our 3/4 width Rio bed!

| Castlerigg Hall.
But if you just want a weekend spot - an hour and a half away from you is West Fleet Farm. Have enjoyed going there twice now.

| Where is West Fleet Farm then? Not anywhere near Fleet I assume, which is just 10 minutes down the road from me. | |

| Did the Lands End to John O'Groats last June which was brill. The starting line is only a short hop for us. Back up in West Scotland again this June. Then London, Blenheim Palace and Longleat voyage in August. Another trip yet to be arranged inbetween those two....happy days! | |

How long did you do it in. Looking at doing it this year, maybe 2 or 3 weeks. Starting in Portsmouth though, got a 6hr drive to get to the start line ________________________________________________________________________________ Ginger man without a ginger van

| Finally decided what we are doing this summer after months of debate
For the first time in years we are setting out from the UK
Sunday crossing to Dunkerque stay in a Hotel BB in Lille sunday night for an early get away monday then Metz onto Munchen to see BB King at the Tollwood festival and drink lots of beer Koningssee the Berteschgarten and Hitlers Eagles nest for a few days in the Bavarian Alps 1 day crossing austria through including putting Daphne onto the Autoschleuse Tauernbahn - an 11 km journey by train through an Alpine mountain then Krk islands in Croatia for a week or so then back through Northern Italy into provence and then up through alsace and eventually back to Dunkerque and Dover
Should take about 3 and half weeks - but then last year we totally changed our plans at the last minute
