| At that price I'll be having another BraziBay on my drive.
I assume they've got a decent reserve on that ..... ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| Did anyone bid on this?
It sold for an exceptionally undervalued £20,267.
If it wasn't a scam then someone got a bargain.

| Hi Tim - A customer of ours bid on this and just told me they spoke to e bay and It was a scam and e bay have removed the listing after it sold......Just shows you have to be very careful on ebay and sending money etc etc....The scammer even had e mails sent that looked like they were from e bay asking for money to be paid into their 'secure' account for the buyers protection!! Even had an e bay e mail address on it!! | |

| I thought as much - I've seen this kind of thing before - I nearly got burned this way once.
A wake up call to everyone - go and see the item for sale before bidding.
Cheers Jason. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| Have to say as Tim said in an earlier thread regarding this, "if it looks to good to be true, it usually is".
In my previous life as a CID officer (before I retired and became a layabout!), this is very common, and unfortunately extremly difficult to investigate and ever get a prosecution. E bay themselves as far as I am aware try thier best to ensure this doesn't happen.
As my old Gran would say " Never trust anyone, not even yourself!"
