Here for sale is my 2006 VW Brazilian Kombi T2 1.4 water-cooled ULEZ Compliant Camper van (Minty).
Minty has been professionally converted to Right Hand Drive and has (adjustable) Power Steering fitted and front disc brakes.
EXTERIOR
Minty is painted in Candy White over Mint Turquoise, with folding Pop-Top, colour coded radiator grill and side mirrors. The exterior is finished off with White 5 spoke Empi style alloy wheels, cute stainless steel headlamp eyebrows, new chrome wheel nut covers and alloy centre caps. One key fits all locks and all locks work, there are also 2 spare keys.
INTERIOR
The dashboard is colour coded in Mint Turquoise and a new white wooden 14” steering wheel (I still have the original steering wheel that can go with the van). There is a cigarette lighter socket with a multi USB adapter in the dashboard ideal for charging phones etc. There is also a new Bluetooth enabled CD/Radio, a centre console drinks tray and an Empi chrome gear stick.
The front and rear seats are Diamond stitched and finished in a dark beige leather style finish with matching door panels . There is also a double buddy seat with matching upholstered seat pad. The over carpets are a contrasting beige with mint green piping with black under carpets. There are 2 front seat belts and 2 rear seat lap belts. A new beige cab roof headlining has recently been fitted.
Minty has electric mains hook-up with a 13amp 3 pin double socket and also a brand new 12v Leisure battery with digital display unit with useful USB sockets and switches. There are also several 12v LED Spotlights set in the roof. The rear seat unfolds into a double bed. There is also another double bed in the roof Pop-Top with a mattress. There are blue curtains with tie-backs on curtain tracks inside the rear windows of the van.
CAMPING EQUIPMENT
The kitchen cabinets, roof and side panels are finished in a light oak finish with plenty of base and overhead storage cupboards and a white gloss worktop. All cupboards have click-lock buttons. There is a double burner gas hob (needs gas bottle) with electric lighter. There is a gas pipe plumbed in with a gas adapter and although I have never personally used or tested it. The sink has a single tap that automatically activates the electric pump when turned on. There are 2 storage containers under the sink, 1 for clean water and 1 for waste water along with the appropriate pump & pipe work. Also, in the base cupboard is a mini cooler fridge that is switchable between 12v or 240v. There is a 12v socket nearby to plug into. We have an adjustable folding table which can be used inside or outside the van. When used inside you can also use the folding double buddy seat to give you 4 seats in total around the table. I have various hook-up extension leads including the standard hook-up camping cable, a 13amp 3 pin plug (home socket) extension cable and a Euro polarity reverse adapter with polarity socket tester ideal for French campsites that sometimes have reverse polarity hook-up sockets (the tester will save you from blowing up your fuse box!)
MECHANICAL WORK AND PARTS
Minty had a full service around 300 miles ago. This included changing the oil, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs and antifreeze. The handbrake was also adjusted along with a new timing belt fitted. The belt will not need changing for sometime and will give the new owner peace of mind.
Other items fitted includes New front brake discs and pads ,New fuel tank pipe, New electronic speedo cable imported from Brazil and a New foot brake return spring.
Minty is in great shape and if I’m being picky has only a few minor blemishes and a tiny rust bubble patch. You have to look very closely to see this. The paintwork polishes up beautifully and as you can see from the photos the van looks fantastic.
The Speedo is currently not working but I’m using a GPS digital Speedo positioned on the dashboard instead.
As this is my daily driver, I will need another vehicle so I may be interested in a cheaper P/X plus cash. Anything interesting that is ULEZ Compliant will be considered.
