| Well what a luverly day Today I are be mostly workin on Jack! Next week our lad is going down to Dorzet to have a couple of things done, so as the weather was so nice I thought I'd do some bits on me boy. First up was to remove the door cards and give the door a liberal dowsing with a corrosion inhibitor, I suppose this bit should go on the Tech site? The qtr light is as you know is riveted at the top (a really pants job on these bays, mine are corroded already) but the bottom is a spigot which is sort of welded to the qtr light frame which in turn is clamped to the door. When these babies are put together they don't to give it any lubrication, which could result in the spigot breaking off from the qtr light frame (I know coz it happened to my Mex Bug) so I dowsed it in a bit of WD40 and worked it back and forwards a bit untill it moved freely, (Jane couldnt open them with one hand) then a good coat of white grease. As for the back of the door cards, Tim used wax which is a good form of water repellent, the guy who reshaped our interior said that on a proper compacted hardboard, marine varnish (a tad more expensive than candles) is ideal. The only downside of course is the fact that the plastic membrane is pretty much destroyed so i would make sure you have some suitable plastic sheeting ready when you put the door back together (oh dear). | |

| A bit of a theme here I think, but yet more LED's, this time under the dash. One either side which iluminates the footwell. | |

Is the LED unit along the sliding door runner a standard bit of kit, or something bespoke? | |
