Think you must have the same colour as ours - BMW cosmic black. Looks very nice. Those plates are illegal aren't they ?? Have you been stopped at all?

to be honest i dont know what colour it actually is ive just had to repaint the rear arches and have just used halfords gloss black but think when i polish it it will blend in reasonably well. yes the plates are a bit naughty but look soooo much better, have never been stopped and have a mate who is a copper and he said nobody would really bother but just in case i have the tools in the glove box to swap em over, the front one is stuck to the reverse of the black one and the rear is just screwed onto the yellow one. just in case i get someone on an off day.

i used to have illegal ones on my mini and was only stopped once in five years. I would apply the same approach and keep a set in the van just in case. I was just told to change them as the black ones can only be used up until the old L registrations I think. They can be used on private ground /shows etc and you might 'just have forgotten to take them off'. It will of course be down to if you get stopped, how they deal with it on a personal basis (they might use it to have a chat about your van etc!) and of course its the risk you take. They look good!
