Olive, we were in St. Ives just over a week ago in bessy (camping at Gwithian), no sign of the white tip shark however check out the interactive white balloon feature in the Tate whilst your there...entertaining to say the least (especially if any young ones with you).

regards,

eddy

Hi all, we're off to St Ives in a few weeks, hope we don't run into the rouge shark! We have been to Cornwall many times but this is the debut holiday in the camper., can't wait! We're staying at Ayr camp site, anyone been there before? Also does anyone know of beach in Cornwall where we can actually drive the camper down onto the sand....or is that a really bad idea? haha

We will be in St Ives on the 13th/17th July. Never stayed @ Ayr but I believe it is very good and its very close to the town and beaches. The only beach in St Ives you can get onto is down the sloop @ Harbour Beach but wouldnt do it myself.

Hi Olive, thanks for that. We're going down on the 23rd July for a week. Having visited St Ives before, I know that it would be difficult to drive on the beach there, but there must be somewhere in Cornwall where we could do this? Maybe I'm just romanticising about watching the sun go down, snuggled up in the camper having a nice chilled glass of vino! Anyway, hope you have a great time!

Hi Valentine29
See the thread Easter Weekend in Past Meet Ups
If you can make it to Brean (perhaps on the way back) you can safely go on the beach there Cool
Enjoy your trip and take lots of picks
