Glad it's all over so much pressure getting camper ready.

Really looked the part though - well done.

Well worth the effort though,bet everyone was pleased. Bit of a risky colour in Scotland trying to find Phileas in all that snow! Only jesting! (thats why you could only buy Saabs in red at one time, seriously.More useless info from Dizzy.)

The bride(wife's cousin) wouldn't let us paint it till she had her wedding

It was definitley a talking point for the whole day, many many questions from those inviited. Lots of bystanders looking through the windows aswell.

Need to get a tartan paint job on the lower half and change the front wheel cover into a sporran

Do you know how expensive tartan paint is

I think I'll just paint it green.

One of my daughters is getting married next June and she wants me to use Eva as the wedding car - seems I'll have to drive her to the church, tip her out, park the van and then do the walking down the aisle bit. My missus would do the driving/parking were it not for the lack of power steering.

Any tips welcome.

Don't do what we did and decide to rebuild the campervan interior 5 weeks before the wedding! Far too much pressure If buying new alloy wheels, don't wait until the night before the wedding to fit them, as you might find you need to use an angle grinder to buff down the brake drum! Finally, don't let your wife get a stupid fascinator in her hair that means she can't wear a hood as she's helping to wash the bus in the pouring rain at 11am on the day of the wedding

Thanks goodness the stress of having a tidy bus is now over! Time to start using it properly again!

Have been asked by a buddy of mine if I'd drive his future daughter-in-law to the church on her wedding day and then to take the happy couple on to the reception - being a surfer girl she wishes to make the journeys in a Kombi.
