| Blimey, I do a little bit of tongue in cheek micky taking, and overnight the thread grows three pages.
I'd better apologise to all those who bit at the fun.

| ok, Ive taken some pictures today after a quick clean up so I will try and post in the hope that you can give me a better idea. Its a Rio 1600 RHD (I have the original bill of sale!) which lists imobiliser, winter pack, underseal, rear seat belts, CD radio with USB & 4 speakers as well as everything you can see like the sun visor & hard spare wheel cover. advice on what I should ask for it and offers from anyone who's interested. Private plate will be included (have separate valuation certificate of £400) there are some areas of rust, worse bit is wheel arch on passenger side: planning to tax & MOT before sale 74803KM (46k miles?) I'll be completely honest because it has been sat for a year due to me having a major operation & then my relationship break down....the condition (eg rust) has deteriorated in that time as the pictures show but I'd still say its in good nick & still starts FIRST time! I'm planning to post on classified's & ebay but really not sure what to ask for it. ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????! | |

| Based on your situation I'm guessing you've no money to spend on rectifying the bodywork issues. That rear arch will need to have a repair panel fitted so I'm estimating that plus repaint of that area and the rear valance would come to around £700. Speaking honestly I think your T2 needs some tlc.
With that in mind, I think I'd be asking £14750 ono. A trader would offer you less, sort all the bodywork and then retail it for £18995. It's a pretty BraziBay, with a decent spec and neat reg plate. Don't under sell it. You will find a buyer.
Get it MOT'd and taxed for 6 months and then advertise it here for free in the classifieds. Selling elsewhere will cost you cash. All private classifieds here get Tweeted and Facebooked!
Good luck. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay

| Thanks Tim, yes I fully accept he needs someone to love him again & you're right having just spent more money than I had ever dreamed of on a house (and a mortgage big enough to make grown men cry!!) I dont really have the spare funds..... Hmmm that is less than I was hoping but I am realistic enough to know why although I would like to get £15k if I can. Thank you for your advice as always I am attempting to list on ebay whilst free listing & see what response I get, I'll keep you posted, ta x | |

| You'll always get a better and faster sale if your vehicle is in top condition - regardless of what it is. Anything that needs work doing tends to give rise to the idea that a vehicle may have been neglected. Sometimes there just aren't the funds to make such improvements, so it's important to be realistic about the true value of something.
Before you photograph your Kombi for sale - make sure it's got all the hubcaps on. What was the reason for the chrome sliding door handle - it doesn't match the others? It's stuff like that you should expect to get asked. ________________________________________________________________________________ Max SportsKombi - The Bay Racer @brazilianvwbay
