I hope your all well and that I have stuck this in the right place
Let me introduce you to the concept that is Dub Vacation www.dubvacation.com
25 Years ago, the shape of the UK VW scene changed forever, with Brett Hawksbee’s ‘First Annual UK Bug Jam’. Now two and a half decades later, comes a radically different alternative to the usual show, the ‘First Annual Dub Vacation’. The Dub Vacation is a family friendly VW enthusiast camping and caravan holiday culminating in a show. With a full week of activities and excursions, the entire package averages less than £60 per person including the weekend show. In a way, this event has been 25 years in the making, by far the most ambitious and potentially the most enjoyable week for VW lovers in a quarter of a century! It’s an absolute ‘must do’.
From the 6th to the 12th August 2012, the Dub Vacation venue will become ‘Volksburg’ a temporary community of VW enthusiasts and families. Pitches are available for campervans, cars and tents, or a combination of both. Touring caravan plots are also available. The holiday location has a host of permanent facilities for the entire family. The complex includes two fishing lakes, a nine hole golf course, driving range, putting, ‘crazy golf’, an Owl and Birds of Prey centre, petting zoo, shops, restaurant, fitness centre, even a post office.
Dub Vacation offers a variety of activities for all the family, throughout each day, with a huge range of workshops and daily actvities, followed by evenings around the camp fire, with storytellers for children, as well as bands and solo acoustic artists. Each day will include a day long feature activity such as Archery, laser clay shoot etc. The children’s treasure hunt and other kid’s activities run every day throughout the week.
With most of these elements included in the price, the holiday will average less than £60 per person. This price is for the full week with all camping and many optional activities, as well as entrance to the weekend ‘Volksburg’ VW Show

This would have been right up our street but sadly will be jetting off on the 12th and think it would be too much of a rush to leave Dub vacation early, drive all the way back, unpack, wash things and then repack. Bit gutted really.
Well overdue for the requested feedback. The week was totally fabulous... That's not just my assessment, just about everyone who attended has said that they are rebooking for 2013, and the general enthusiasm and support for the only week long VW event can be gauged by the comments on the Dub Vacation Facebook Group.
Less pitches than we hoped to fill in the first year, but everyone, including the kids, had a full and active week, made tons of new friends, and took part in all the activities to the hilt!
The 2013 event is to be limited to a maximum of 240 pitches, to ensure that the whole holiday stays friendly and 'personal', and that none of the (still free) workshops or activities are oversubscribed.
2013 tickets will go on sale on www.dubvacation.com website on or around 1st October 2012.
