Anyone out there want to help me with constructing my Lego bus - feel free to contact me - they can look after my 2 children whilst I get on with it. I've only managed the engine bay so far. It might be ready by the time of the sleepover at this rate.

We built ours over 3 nights, doing a bit at a time. Ann sorted out the bits that were next needed while i put them together. As we were in no hurry, it was very enjoyable, unlike some of the models i had to build when the kids were small, who wanted them NOW

There are always a few pieces left over, even on the smaller models. It tends to be the smaller, fragile or 'special' bits. I guess they stick an extra couple in just in case.
